The 2025 GBSUP calendar is already underway and bursting with exhilarating events, promising a year of thrilling stand-up paddleboarding action for everyone, from seasoned racers chasing national glory to enthusiastic newcomers dipping their paddles in the water for the first time. Get ready to explore stunning locations across the UK and challenge yourself in a variety of race formats. Here's a look back at the first event and the exciting competitions still to come!

GBSUP 2025 Calendar


National Championships

  • British National Championships: Paddle Logger Falmouth Bay Open

    • Dates: June 7th & 8th, 2025

    • Location: Gylly Beach, Falmouth

    • Description: This prestigious event, held over two days, will feature Distance, Technical, and Beach Sprint races. Importantly, it serves as an International Team Selection event for both Team GB and Team England, determining who will represent their nations at the World Championships. Get ready to witness top-tier paddling action!

    • Entries Open: May 1st, 2025

  • National Sprint Championships (in partnership with Paddle UK)

    • Dates: July 12th & 13th, 2025

    • Location: Holme Pierrepont, Nottingham

    • Description: This fast-paced event, run in partnership with Paddle UK, will see competitors battle it out in exciting 200m sprint races. Paddlers will compete in the regatta lake, each using their own lane to push for victory. Black Project x GBSUP National Paddle Racing Series

The Black Project x GBSUP National Paddle Racing Series is already underway!

  • Round 1: SUPer 8, Oxford (with Oxford SUP Club)

    • The 2025 season kicked off with the SUPer 8 event in Oxford, held in collaboration with Oxford SUP Club. You can check out all the results from this exciting start to the year here: SUPer 8 Results


The action in the Black Project x GBSUP National Paddle Racing Series is just heating up! Following a fantastic start to the season, the remaining rounds promise a diverse range of challenges and stunning locations across the UK. Get ready for more thrilling races, from pursuit formats on reservoirs to technical battles along the coast and vibrant city dockside events. Here's what the rest of the 2025 National Series looks like:


  • Round 2: Llandegfedd Pursuit, South Wales

    • Dates: May 17th - 18th, 2025

    • Location: Llandegfedd Reservoir, Pontypool

    • Description: An exciting weekend of paddling awaits at the scenic Llandegfedd Reservoir. Saturday offers AquaPaddle sessions and non-series Technical Sprint racing, open to everyone. Sunday is dedicated to the National Series distance event, featuring competitive fleets, Juniors, and Challenge Tour participants.

  • Round 3: Baysup Battle of the Bay, Friars Cliff, Christchurch

    • Date: June 28th, 2025

    • Location: Friars Cliff, Christchurch

    • Description: Hosted by BaySUP, this event features both a Distance and a Technical race, each individually contributing to the National Series standings. Expect thrilling racing with challenging beach transitions and engaging technical courses.

  • Round 4: Beadnell Belta, Northumbria

    • Date: July 6th, 2025

    • Location: Beadnell Bay, Northumbria

    • Description: Hosted in the stunning location of Beadnell Bay, this event will feature both a Distance and a Technical race, with points counting towards the National Series. Get ready for exciting racing with potential beach starts/finishes and a challenging technical course to test your skills.

  • Round 5: Liverpool SUP Festival

    • Dates: July 19th - 20th, 2025

    • Location: Liverpool Docks (Race HQ Liverpool Watersports Centre)

    • Description: More than just racing, the Liverpool SUP Festival offers a vibrant weekend of paddling activities. Alongside National Series Distance, Technical, and Sprint races, enjoy fun activities and introductory lessons. Partnering with Liverpool SUP co, expect taster sessions, tours, and plenty of opportunities to get on the water.

  • Round 6: Big Dippa, Whitley Bay, Tyne and Wear

    • Date: August 23rd, 2025

    • Location: Whitley Bay, Tyne and Wear

    • Description: The Big Dippa, hosted by Northerly Swell, is a thrilling distance race complemented by fun sprints and tech racing. This event promises excitement for paddlers of all levels, with various races and activities designed to engage participants and spectators. Northerly Swell is proud to host The Big Dippa at Whitley Bay.

  • Round 7: SUP The Creek, Salcombe, South Devon

    • Dates: October 18th - 19th, 2025

    • Location: Salcombe, South Devon

    • Description: This final event of the series promises a fantastic weekend of paddling. Saturday, October 18th, will feature a flatwater distance race in Kingsbridge, followed by Technical and Sprints events in the picturesque setting of Salcombe on Sunday, October 19th.
