Paddle into History: The Black Project Calshot Castle Trophy Awaits! 

Calling all Stand Up Paddleboard enthusiasts! Partnering with The SUP Company, we're stoked to announce the Black Project Calshot Castle Trophy, the grand finale of the electrifying 2024 GBSUP National Series. Set against the historic Calshot Castle backdrop on the stunning Calshot Spit shoreline, this marquee event promises fierce competition, a vibrant atmosphere, and a chance to etch your name in GBSUP history.

National Series Climax: Witness the culmination of the season's dedication and grit as paddlers vie for the coveted National Series titles. Cheer on the competitors and be inspired by their achievements as they crown the season's winners.

Open to All Levels:

Adult Fleet Racing: Experienced paddlers can push themselves to the limit on the challenging 8km course designed to test their skills and endurance. 

Challenge Tour: Newcomers to the sport can find their place in the 4km Challenge Tour, offering a welcoming environment to experience the thrill of competitive SUP racing.Junior Events:  A full schedule of races for upcoming champions, with shorter courses and dedicated competitions throughout the day.

Race Formats:

Distance Race: Competitive Fleets: 9km Challenge Tour & Juniors: 5km (inclusive atmosphere, fun-run style, take it at your own pace)

Starboard Airline Cup: Same distances as the Challenge tour

Tech Race: Competitive Fleets: 3-4km Challenge Tour & Juniors 2.5km

Starboard Airline Cup: Same distances as the Challenge tour

GBSUP Welcomes the Starboard Airline Cup:

Introducing the Starboard Airline Cup in partnership with The SUP Co brings a brand new fleet to our racing. Built from our Challenge Tour ethos of fun, friendly, and inclusive racing, the Starboard Airline Cup is all about getting on the start line with fellow paddlers of the Starboard Airline boards and giving it a go.

To enter, you must be on a Starboard Airline board; any model or size is welcome.

Hosted by Calshot Activities Centre:

We are delighted to work with Clahot Activities Center, which welcomes our event and provides safety and site facilities for competitors and spectators. The site offers many exciting water and land-based activities for all ages and abilities. The historic hangars accommodate the tallest climbing wall in the South, an indoor velodrome, a dry slope, and so much more. With beautiful beaches, views of the Isle of Wight and instant access to both sheltered and more challenging waters

Family Fun by the Castle:

The Calshot Activities Center transforms the event into a day filled with fun for the whole crew. A range of experiences in The Hangar can be booked to entertain the little ones. At the same time, various activities provide opportunities for the entire family to get involved. There's something for everyone, whether cheering on the racers, trying your hand at a new activity, or simply soaking up the beautiful coastal scenery. This can be booked separately. More Than Just a Race:

The excitement doesn't end on the water! Saturday, October 5th, 2024, marks the date for this epic showdown. As the day winds down, a special awards ceremony will be held to honour the winners of the GBSUP National Series. Hosted in the stunning Calshot Castle, it's one not to be missed.
